Region One board members are here to help everyone in OA. We’re available to answer your questions and support you in your program of recovery. We’re also here to provide advice, guidance, and essential resources to assist Region One intergroups and their members.
We have several committees where representatives from Region One, intergroups, and OA fellows help with meeting the needs of each committee’s purpose.

- Board Liaison: We assign a Region One board member to each intergroup. They act as your liaison and point of contact for Region One. You can reach out to your liaison to invite them to attend your IG meeting where they will answer questions and provide updates on what new things are happening in Region One. - Region 1 Rep and WSBC Delegate Funding: We provide funds to assist intergroups in sending Region One Reps to the annual Assembly and WSBC delegates to the annual World Service Business Conference. These events may be in person or virtual using a zoom meeting. To request funding, reach out to your Intergroup Liaison for support.
- Member Outreach Grants: Region One provides member outreach grants to aid intergroups and their members. These grants can be used to fund many initiatives, including your retreats or event days, purchasing Zoom licenses for the virtual meetings you host, or to buy literature, etc. As our 7th tradition states that "Every group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions,” intergroups are expected to pays for as much as they can, and only request funding from Region One in circumstances when their own contributions fall short. To apply for a grant, please reach out to your Intergroup Liaison.
- Public Information/Professional Outreach (PIPO): We provide support and funding to help your PIPO activities. There are experienced OA members available to get your PIPO activity up and running and ensure its success. To get started, reach out to your Intergroup Liaison.
- Intergroup Renewal: One or more board members can work with your intergroup to support you through the intergroup renewal process. To get started, reach out to your Intergroup Liaison, or visit the Intergroup Renewal page, where you’ll find a form that you can complete to request support.
- Bylaws and Policies: When you are ready to define your intergroup bylaws and policies, or you need to update them, Region 1 can work with you to provide support. Your intergroup members make the decisions, but there are members with years of experience available to you. To get started, reach out to your Intergroup Liaison.
