REGION ONE PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE

Exciting News

The Region One Public Information committee is here to help the Region One Intergroups and groups get the message out that Overeaters Anonymous is here to help people who are suffering from compulsive eating. We have a few exciting new projects to tell you about and some ideas of how to spread the message in your area.

Advertising Funds Available!!

The Intergroups that host the Region One Assembly and Convention in the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 will have a $1,000 advertising budget each year to promote Overeaters Anonymous in the hosting city. The funds are intended to bring OA more into the public eye in the month prior to the convention. Has your Intergroup signed up to host one of the upcoming conventions yet?

Public/Professional Event Supplies

The PI Committee is in the process of creating a large canvas banner and two display boards for events. One board will focus the message towards the public community for use at events such as health fairs. The other display board will focus its message towards the professional community– conventions of doctors, psychologists, dieticians, etc. The banner and the display boards will be available to Intergroups in Region One who will be participating is such events. If your Intergroup has an event coming up, contact the PI committee and we’ll arrange to get the necessary items to you.
