ASSEMBLY SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION
Assembly will start at 7pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 and go through the afternoon on Friday, October 13, 2017.
Please register for Assembly 2017 HERE! All Representatives are asked to make every effort to register, if possible, by July 11, 2017, but registrations will be accepted after that date.
Number of Representatives (per Region One Bylaws, Article III, Section 4:
- Each Intergroup is entitled to one (1) Representative for up to the first ten (10) groups it represents and one (1) for each additional ten (10) groups or any fraction thereof. An Intergroup may also select Alternate representatives.
- An unaffiliated group may select 1 Representative and 1 Alternate.
Visitors are welcome at Assembly and do not have to register or pay a registration fee, but it is helpful for planning if we know you will be attending. Please let us know you will be attending by registering at the above link, which will also give you the opportunity to order a printed binder and a luncheon ticket.
Representatives: The $35 registration fee includes Thursday luncheon and a printed binder. Please contact the Region Treasurer at firstname.lastname@example.org if this fee creates a hardship for your intergroup.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR REPRESENTATIVES
Region One is has budgeted funds to help Intergroups send a Representative to Assembly! If your intergroup can't afford to cover all of the expenses associated with assembly, you can request that Region One fund part or all of the trip. MOTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY BUSINESS
Motions to Assembly 2017 are due by August 11, 2017. Motions may be submitted by Region One Intergroups, the Region One Board, or the Region One Bylaws Committee.
Motions to Assembly should be submitted using THIS FORM, which includes instructions and contact information if assistance is needed.

ELECTIONS FOR R1 BOARD POSITIONS
The following Board positions are up for election at our 2017 Assembly:

Being on the Board is a great way to do service. A fully-staffed board helps ensure that intergroups have support and the members of Region 1 are well-served. Not only do you get to give back to the program, but you have the chance to learn new skills or hone ones you already have, as well as work with a fantastic group of people in recovery! The qualifications to be elected to a board position are as follows:
• Be a member of OA within the Region’s geographic boundaries.
• Have been abstaining from compulsive overeating for a least one year.
• Have two years of service above the group level, if a member of an intergroup.
• Have been a World Service Delegate, if possible.
• Be working the Twelve Step Program to the best of his or her ability and have taken the fifth step.

COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE INSTRUCTIONS:
The complimentary Sea-Tac Airport Shuttle Service runs 24-hours a day. Call the hotel at 206-575-8220 when you arrive at the waiting areas at Island #1 or Island #3 only. This is located one floor above baggage claim, cross over the sky bridge, and go down one floor to floor # 3. Call the hotel from the island. Return shuttles can be scheduled with front desk.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to get on the smaller shuttle van for the DoubleTree at Southcenter and not the large buses for the DoubleTree at the airport. Our shuttles are large white vans with a large brown stripe down the side.
